I know I warned all of you that there would be a lot of blood on the page when you turned in your first stories. Still, as a writer I know that all the warnings in the world don't mean squat when your work is shredded (it has happened to me more times that I care to remember). Just keep in mind that you are all learning a new, and somewhat unique writing style. You cannot be expected to just get it right out of the gate. It takes some time and perseverance to learn how to write a news story. What I can assure all of you is that if you stick with it, you will succeed in this class. I will work with you until you get it.
Failure is not an option.
Wednesday I'll be available in the Eagle's Nest for about an hour after class to talk with you about your stories. If that time doesn't work for you let me know and we'll make an appointment. I can usually get away from my job at Glacier High to meet during the day.
In the meantime if you haven't seen this story about FVCC enrollment in the Daily Inter Lake, take a look, especially you Ally.
